Guest Services and Facilities When you book with us we will, if you wish, email you two documents that we have written and regularly update. The first is a list of all York’s attractions with website links. This is intended to help you in planning your time in York. The second document concerns where to eat. We recognise that your meal out can make or break your stay in York, but York has over 150 eateries so where do you go? We have produced a folder containing details of the good eateries used by the locals, their menu and our comments. We can email you the text portion. This folder is kept in the lounge for you to peruse – we are more than happy to advise you. All guests are met personally by Anne or Ian. If you wish we will give you a free pocket map, discuss your itinerary, the restaurants and attractions that you may enjoy. If you are here for a special occasion we are more than happy to give you a personalised breakfast menu to take away as a memento. If you pre-order we can supply, at cost, champagne, flowers or chocolates. Private off-road parking. A resident's lounge with 32 inch flat screen TV, magazines, books, local information, and games. A totally free guest office area with internet PC (this is specifically for guests - we have our own computer elsewhere), printer, copier, scanner, disc writer, digital camera downloading facilities, webcam, Skype. Brochures and maps on all attractions in the region. Free towels, shower gel, shampoo and tissues. Hair dryer, curling tongs, hair straighteners. Writing paper and envelopes. Ironing board and iron. Free local newspaper. Secure bicycle store. Free beverages. Book exchange. Wake-up call if required.
